KALGOORLIE-BOULDER Community High School recently acquired two full sets of football jumpers, thanks to generous sponsors in the community.

Until now, the school had to borrow jumpers and students had to supply their own shorts and socks for carnivals and competitions.

“An enormous thank you is extended to Ted Russel and his generous staff at Aggreko who donated fundraising money,” said Shane Joyce, health and physical education teacher at the school.

“This major contribution was enhanced further with contributions from the

West Australian Football Commission and the Goldfields Regional Football Development Council.”

The jumpers will see their first action during the school’s traditional rivalry rounds, between the Year 9 and 10 classes.

Other upcoming carnivals and competitions include the Smarter Than Smoking Cup, AFL SportsReady Cup and the Girls Football Carnival.
