Nine arrested in "dob in" day

7/07/2008 12:28:00 PM
There were 10 drug warrants executed in the Report a Drug Dealer Day in Kalgoorlie/Boulder last Tuesday.

Kalgoorlie detectives along with the Burglary Team, District Support Group and the District Information Support Centre executed the warrants as a result of information they received from members of the public in the lead up to the campaign.

This saw nine people arrested to face 16 charges.

Two people were charged with possession of amphetamines with intent to sell/supply.

The raids uncovered approximately 16 grams of amphetamines, six smoking implements and a small amount of cannabis leaf.

The response to the phone-in was positive with a large quantity of calls being received state wide. Twenty four calls were received for the Goldfields-Esperance District.

This information will be scrutinised and cross referenced with Police intelligence holdings and acted upon.

WA Police would like to thank the general public for their enthusiasm and response.

Information can be passed onto Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 which is still open to receive calls.
