Police will be conducting a re-examination of the crime scene searching for anything that may assist with this investigation.

Major Crime Detectives will be calling for assistance from the public in tracking the last known movements of Jacek Chlebny who was known to have resided within the Perth metropolitan area, but had employment links to the eastern Goldfields.

It is considered possible that he may have returned to the Goldfields seeking further employment around the Kalgoorlie/Menzies area in the period following his release from Albany Prison in July 1998.
