THE Goldfields' $21 million Mining Hall of Fame will be officially opened next Tuesday.
The opening will be used to induct 70 mining heroes into the hall of fame.
More than 650 people have been invited to the event.
The hall, five kilometres out of Kalgoorlie will recognise the achievements of prospectors and miners. It will also howcase the technology behind today's mining industry and the contribution it makes to the Australia economy.
Along with the hall of fame, the facility will also house an exploration area where young people can experience prospecting, exploring and mining.
A theatre and four galleries have also been incorporated into the design.
The galleries will focus on different sectors of the mining industry.
