Going once, going twice ... SOLD!

It is still not too late to obtain a bargain in the Rotary Club of Boulder's radio auction.

Rotary club president and radio auction chairman, Athol Gray, said the lots that did not sell on Friday last week and on Sunday are on display in a shop at 116 Hanna Street, Kalgoorlie, next door to Kalgoorlie Trophies and Engraving.

"If people see something they want, it's not too late to make an offer," Mr Gray said.

He said the 15 community groups to benefit from this year's auction were expected to share more than $110,000.

The auction went off without a hitch, "apart from a power failure" on Sunday morning which put Radio West and the radio auction off air briefly until the radio station's emergency power plant kicked in, Mr Gray said.

A good crowd turned up in Egan Street for the free Rotary breakfast from 7am on Sunday, Mr Gray said.

Egan Street was closed to traffic between Maritana and Wilson Streets during the morning for a variety of activities and displays by some of the groups to receive funding from the radio auction proceeds.

Mr Gray said the live auction broadcast on Radio West and the activities attracted a lively crowd which built up through the morning.

"There was a bit of a lull between 9 and 10 then it developed quite a carnival atmosphere," he said.
