The first incident occurred around 11:30pm Tuesday when the man’s car was stopped in Johnston Street, South Kalgoorlie.

He was taken to the Kalgoorlie Police Station for a breath test where it will be alleged that he gave an alcohol reading of 0.138 percent.

Abour four hours later, just before 4am the man was seen again to be driving on Maritana Street, Kalgoorlie.

On this occasion, he allegedly gave an alcohol reading of 0.174 percent.

The man has been charged with driving with a blood alcohol content in excess 0.08% and driving under the influence of alcohol.

His bail was refused and he will appear in Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court today.
