Bega's busy babes

27/03/2008 11:56:49 AM
CHILDREN who spend time at Bega Garnbirringu’s Thithigoo Crèche are enjoying some changes to their area.

The facility in MacDonald Street has been boosted by a donation of $10,000 from the Sidney Myer Foundation.

Local businesses Barrick Kanowna, KCGM and Outdoor World have also helped to make the play centre even more exciting.

“This has really contributed to the variety of experiences we can provide,” said childcare coordinator Trudi Cornish.

She explained that when families use the Bega Garnbirringu Health Services the young ones are left at the crèche.

This gives parents respite as the carers give the babes a meal, change nappies and let them enjoy some craft time.

Contented toddlers clambered over climbing

apparatus and slipped down slides as Ms Cornish talked.

The facility is free for Bega Garnbirringu patients and they can use the crèche for up to 12 hours a week.
