The Goldfields Arts Centre is hosting Unearthing the past: a
celebration. The creator
of the predominantly ochre-coloured works is Liz Truswell.
As an artist and a
scientist, she explores the connections between the realms, allowing one to play off the other.
She examined some of the issues and ideas behind her paintings at an afternoon session last Saturday.
This was the second artist talk to be held at the venue this year and the concept seems to be well received by enthusiasts.
In a related move, the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is hoping to set up an arts committee to achieve a number of aims in the arena.
Interested people are invited to attend an
information evening on Wednesday April 16. The venue is the Goldfields Arts Centre and the meeting starts at 7pm sharp.
